TALLY HOE

I was curious to see if this year would involve anything that would actually make this challenge difficult. Things that are directly affected by the fact that I am no longer participating in dating or looking for a potential partner. Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Times I’ve been asked out: 3

This includes in real life and online.

Met someone I was even vaguely interested in: 7

This will be strictly in real life. I’m most curious about this one because I tend to find it hard to find people I actually do like, but it could be difficult for me to really gauge this because these people can come and go so quickly.

Been hit on: 2

In real life only. I’m going to exclude cat calls from the “being hit on” category because it tends to be someone who wouldn’t ever actually approach, like a boi who is plastered out of his tree in a RAM 1500 at 11PM on the way to "da club."

When it comes to being hit on, I’m only going to count really clear, direct flirtations, and not someone who is just casually being nice to me, so this number will likely be pretty low.

Messaged on social media by a strange guy: 18

This surprisingly happens a lot. I’m going to delete any indications on all my social media of my relationship status, so that it isn’t clear if I’m single or taken. That way, the person isn’t reaching out with any prior knowledge of my availability and has decided to try anyway.

Anything related to my Youtube channel will be excluded. Only someone who reaches out to my more personal accounts and not my Youtube personality.

Someone gives me their contact info, or asks for mine: 2

This one doesn’t seem like it would be high, but I’ve actually had a male cashier give me his business card with his cell on it, and a delivery guy who actually used my number right on the receipt to text me. It’s often one where it’s difficult to reject someone, because of the situation.

Times a guy from my past decides to come back from the dead: 0

This is called zombieing. It’s when a guy (or girl) decides that they feel like we have unfinished business and wants to re-engage me. I love it when this happens because it’s usually a guy who feels bad about something shitty he did. People who are afraid of karma. Giggles.

Times I broke the no sex and no kissing rules: 3

Hehehe... Sorry, NOT sorry.

If you can think of anything else, send me a message! I will try to come up with more as they come up.
